I’m an evolutionary biologist bent on decoding the drama of the natural world. Hailing from Coimbatore in India, I had my “eureka” moments in Bangalore, where I majored in Microbiology, Chemistry, and Botany. I moved from India to Germany to pursue a Master’s in Biological Sciences with a specialisation in Genetics from the University of Cologne. As if that weren’t enough adventure, I subsequently embarked on a PhD program at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Trivandrum, where I swapped my microscope for binoculars and switched from molecular biology to the thrilling world of behavioural ecology.

After my PhD, I worked at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore as a SERB National Postdoctoral Fellow. Subsequently, I moved from India to Germany for a second time to work at the University of Hamburg as a Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow. At present, I collaborate with a team of mathematicians to develop evolutionary ecological models at the Centre of Excellence in Mathematical Biology, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in Puttaparthi.
